THE SCHOOL
Tradewinds Academy of Navigation is an RYA and MCA accredited training centre specialising in shore-based theory courses, including:-

RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster theory
Courses are typically run at venues across Cheshire, but it is also possible to run these courses at your own premises (subject to a minimum of 2 students and appropriate facilities).

THE PRINCIPAL
The school's principal is Gordon Hamill, who has had over 35 years experience of sailing, both in sail and power, and is also a commercially endorsed Yachtmaster and instructor.
He has a wide variety of experience, including yacht deliveries to and from the UK and sailing his own yacht extensively around the UK, Ireland, France and Spain. He has also run his own sailing
school in southern Spain.
Gordon’s aim is to deliver enjoyable, well-structured courses in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Class sizes for all courses are intentionally kept small to ensure that everyone gets the attention
they require and also to make time for discussion on key areas of the syllabus.
